Job description
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer for a long-term, fully remote opportunity in a fast-moving fintech environment. You’ll work closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to strengthen automation coverage and ensure the reliability, security, and performance of modern financial software.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks across web applications, APIs, backend services, and third-party integrations.
Develop and execute unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end automated test suites to ensure system reliability, stability, and overall quality.
Create and maintain automated tests for complex workflows, edge cases, data integrity, and state transitions across services.
Integrate and manage automated testing within CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
Conduct performance, scalability, and load testing across core services and infrastructure to identify bottlenecks and reliability risks.
Identify, document, and track bugs, performance issues, and system weaknesses while partnering closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to improve QA processes, automation coverage, and testing standards.

4+ years of experience in QA Automation, including designing, building, and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript for developing automation scripts and test frameworks, with hands-on experience with Playwright.
Strong understanding of testing best practices, test strategy, software development lifecycles, and modern QA methodologies.
Hands-on experience working with CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments such as Docker.
Previous experience in fintech, financial services, payments, banking, or other financial technology environments is highly preferred, particularly where accuracy, reliability, security, and data integrity are critical.
Strong verbal English communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and availability to work and collaborate effectively with distributed teams during EST (Eastern Standard Time) hours.
