Job description

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer for a long-term, fully remote opportunity in a fast-moving fintech environment. You’ll work closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to strengthen automation coverage and ensure the reliability, security, and performance of modern financial software.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks across web applications, APIs, backend services, and third-party integrations.

  • Develop and execute unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end automated test suites to ensure system reliability, stability, and overall quality.

  • Create and maintain automated tests for complex workflows, edge cases, data integrity, and state transitions across services.

  • Integrate and manage automated testing within CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

  • Conduct performance, scalability, and load testing across core services and infrastructure to identify bottlenecks and reliability risks.

  • Identify, document, and track bugs, performance issues, and system weaknesses while partnering closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to improve QA processes, automation coverage, and testing standards.

Job requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in QA Automation, including designing, building, and maintaining automated testing frameworks.

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript for developing automation scripts and test frameworks, with hands-on experience with Playwright.

  • Strong understanding of testing best practices, test strategy, software development lifecycles, and modern QA methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience working with CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments such as Docker.

  • Previous experience in fintech, financial services, payments, banking, or other financial technology environments is highly preferred, particularly where accuracy, reliability, security, and data integrity are critical.

  • Strong verbal English communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and availability to work and collaborate effectively with distributed teams during EST (Eastern Standard Time) hours.
