Job description

We’re seeking a Director of Sales for our client, a successful multi-generational business, to lead and expand their wholesale channel—someone who thrives on relationship management, understands consultative sales, and can drive both strategic growth and team performance.

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 + commission

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee and grow thousands of existing reseller accounts while identifying hundreds more across different verticals.

  • Develop deep relationships with customers, ensuring you’re aligned with their plans and future needs.

  • Manage the team responsible for account management, while also personally handling key relationships.

  • Fly out to meet customers—not as an outside salesperson, but as a relationship builder ensuring strong, long-term partnerships.

  • Understand the wholesale sales process, selling to resellers, big-box retailers, or key industry verticals.

  • Balance consultative selling with guiding the team on transactional sales strategies.

Job requirements

  • Wholesale sales experience, specifically selling to resellers.

  • Background in managing a high volume of accounts and driving new business in targeted verticals.

  • Proven ability to lead and develop a sales team while also managing key accounts directly.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with a consultative sales approach.

  • Ability to anticipate customer needs and align sales efforts accordingly.

  • Skilled in both strategic planning and transactional sales management.

  • Willingness to travel as needed to maintain and expand customer relationships.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
