Job description

We’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, experienced Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial operations for our client, a real estate construction company based in NYC. This role is ideal for a bookkeeping professional with experience in real estate who takes pride in maintaining accurate records and ensuring seamless financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounts receivable and payable, including vendor invoicing, expense tracking, and credit card reconciliations

  • Record and maintain day-to-day ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and proper coding of all financial transactions

  • Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements, journal entries, and account adjustments related to expenses, payroll, and taxes

  • Support the monthly accounting close process and assist with cash flow tracking and financial reporting

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including supporting documentation for audits and regulatory purposes


Job requirements

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of bookkeeping or relevant accounting experience, preferably with a focus on real estate financing

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) and general accounting software

  • Strong understanding of general ledger processes, account analysis, and reconciliations

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication skills for working with vendors, clients, and internal teams

  • Highly preferred to have prior experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role for a Real Estate company
